Metal fibre concerns prompt recall of vitamins

If you recently bought vitamins at Costco or Walmart, you may want to see if they are part of a recall issued by the Factors Group of Nutritional Companies Inc. and Health Canada.

Health Canada said the lot may contain metal fibres, but a notice posted on its website does not mention whether anyone has been adversely impacted.

The brands include Kirkland Signature, Natural Factors, and Webber Naturals.

You can check the notice online to see if your vitamins are included in the recall.

Health Canada also said consumers should check with their primary health provider before they stop taking them.

Anyone with questions can contact the recall firm, and any reported side effects or product safety complaints should be directed to Health Canada.
